Mini Discs – What are they?

Mini discs are especially small discs – cds and dvds – that can be pressed, and if we have them on stock, recordable versions.
We make the discs in round, hockey rink or business card shape, and rectangular.

And we make the jackets to match!

Clear Substrate Discs

One twist on this is a clear substrate disc – that’s a mini disc with clear substrate out to the edges. Clear substrate discs have one advantage over mini discs, and that’s that the universal size (universal? Guess so, at least Earth) does not have playability problems in slot disc players.

Template Creation
Templates are created and sent out when an order is officially placed and the job is set up. Custom Dies take us a little longer.

Disc Manufacturing & Packaging
Disc replication projects include CD or DVD glass master manufacturing, full color disc printing, packaging, assembly, and shipping. Projects do not have overrun charges. Printed packaging is generally full color/cmyk unless special pantone inks are being used.

Test Disc & Color Matchprint — Proofing starts with pdf softproofs and progresses to hardcopy proofsets with a glass mastered test disc and color matchprint.

If you need some help defining your spec, we do have packaging engineers on hand that can assist you at an hourly rate. They can help you with ideas and develop your packaging / printing spec plus give you multiple production estimates if you need them. If you are working with your graphics artist, generally they will provide the packaging / printing spec for you.
